Attoney Information

Eric Hawkins received his undergraduate degree from        University       California at Berkeley, where he majored      Legal Studies. In 1997, he graduated from        University       Minnesota Law School. During law school Eric worked for        prosecutor's office at        Ramsey County Attorney's Office, working      both Adult Felony Court         Juvenile Court.

Upon graduating from Law School, Eric served as        Law Clerk for      Hennepin County District Court Judge      downtown Minneapolis. Later Eric returned to        Ramsey County Attorney's Office where he took      position       an Assistant Ramsey County Attorney. There he worked as      prosecutor       behalf of        State.

Eric made his transition       criminal defense by taking an attorney position in        Anoka County Public Defender's Office. After handling Misdemeanors        six months in        Anoka Office, he moved to        Adult Felony Division. After two years       criminal defense experience Eric took      Public Defender position      Downtown Minneapolis working on        Adult Felony Trial Team at        Hennepin County Public Defender's Office. There, Eric acquired an additional three years       criminal defense experience.

After five years       intensive criminal defense work, ranging from DWIs       Fraud       Homicide, Eric left        Public Defender's Office         started      private criminal defense practice.
