Attoney Information

Kelly was hired       an Associate Attorney          Brandt Criminal Defense      2006. Over        course       her career, Kelly has worked          several clients       achieve satisfactory resolutions to        ir criminal cases. She has counseled clients       problems         possible solutions, appeared       behalf       clients at various court hearings,         handled emergency situations such       getting clients released from custody.

Kelly first joined Brandt Criminal Defense      2005 as      Law Clerk/Investigator. In that capacity, she was responsible        legal research, writing briefs         other court memoranda, interviewing witnesses, reviewing discovery, investigating crime scenes,         assisting      trial preparation.

Kelly graduated from        University       Minnesota Law School          honors. As      law student, she spent more time in        courtroom as      certified student attorney than many attorneys do in        ir entire legal career. She was        Director of        Misdemeanor Defense Clinic at        University       Minnesota Law School, where      addition       personally representing clients charged          misdemeanor offenses, she oversaw      staff       student attorneys representing clients throughout        Twin Cities. Prior       joining Brandt Criminal Defense, Kelly worked as      student prosecutor with        Anoka County Attorney's Office. There, she represented Anoka County      court       civil commitment matters,       well       assisted attorneys          briefs, memorandums,         orders. Her other legal experience includes an internship with        Honorable Judge Bruce A. Peterson,      law clerk position with        Office of        United States Federal Defender, and      law clerk position with      civil law firm doing labor         employment law.
